What to Wear for Easter!

It’s hard to believe that in roughly 10 days it will be Easter!  Time to spend hours on Pinterest again searching for the perfect brunch recipes.......

At Poor Little Rich Girl, we love Spring!  Everything is new and reborn.  The sun is shining a little brighter and a little longer.  Flowers are blooming and the gentle sounds of lawn mowers and tractors are back to remind us that we need to take care of the lawn & garden again!

Because Easter is always so early in Spring, it creates a bit of a fashion dilemma for those of us not in warm climates.  Do we wear the cute chiffon floral dress and sandals that we’ve been ogling at the store or do we stick with sweater dresses and tights because it could be 40 degrees that day?  Well no worries friends!  We’ve got 2 outfits for you that cover both weather options.  Bonus – we’ve got the coordinating men’s outfits to go with them (not that your man needs any help putting a look together ladies 😉).  Did you know we now carry men’s clothing??  We’re truly becoming a one-stop shop.  Let’s take a look at what we put together for you!

 Sunny Day Outfits

You can’t have Easter without tulips, so that’s why we especially love this dress from Ann Taylor!  It’s just the right amount of print and color for a beautiful, sunny Easter morning.  We paired it with some classic pearls, sling back pumps, and a handbag from Coach.  This look is great on its own, but if you’re chilly at the Easter egg hunt, you can easily throw on a cardigan and not ruin the outfit.

Your guy will look sharp in some classic grey Calvin Klein trousers and mini-check shirt from Charles Tyrwhitt.  Together, you’ll be Instagram-worthy and the cutest couple at brunch!

 Not-so Sunny Day Outfits

If mother nature isn’t feeling especially generous and we have a chilly (or downright cold Easter) then we’ve got a chic option for that as well.  This bright yellow and navy blue J. Crew dress has long sleeves for extra warmth and would easily work with a cardigan or blazer as an extra layer.  Although the dress has long sleeves, the colors help keep it firmly in Spring.  We added some stylish patent leather pumps from Steve Madden, a contemporary long necklace, and a little black vintage clutch for an extra shot of style.

For your guy, we helped him bundle up in a classic navy check shirt from J. Crew as well as a luxurious light wool sweater from Banana Republic.  The grey trousers are the same ones from Calvin Klein that we used in the first look!

We love styling our customers and helping them shop their closet for the look that's just right for them!  If you want some help putting together the right outfit for your next event, or just need help with a few 'go-to' every day looks, then contact us and schedule a closet shopping session. You'd be surprised at how much time a money a quick 2-hour investment can make in your everyday life!

We hope you all have a lovely and happy holiday with your family and friends!

Until next time ~

Fashionably yours,

Diane and Christy XOXO
